Changing the Default Keybinding Settings in Plunderstorm

Last year the video game Plunderstorm, took the World of Warcraft world by storm ahem. It’s a fast-paced battle royale-style game by Blizzard Entertainment. The game faces the player off against 59 other players (for 60 total) in a scramble to see who is the last player standing. Players start with only one basic skill and one heal and no offensive or defensive skills. Players are given a choice of where to drop in (this can be randomized if you choose) and the different drop-in zones vary based on difficulty. The higher the difficulty, the greater the reward BUT it comes with a cost. These high-value areas tend to be filled with other players who will attempt to take you out.

Long-time World of Warcraft fans will find a familiar interface along with a familiar world and enemy mobs. One thing that differs however is that the interface for options is NOT the same. When you arrive on the character selection screen you can access the options menu by either clicking the menu button at the top of your screen or pressing ESC on your keyboard. You are presented with a very limited options menu that does NOT contain the keybindings menu.

The general options screen for Plunderstorm

To change the keybinding settings for Plunderstorm you must be in the waiting room. Select the Practice option from the character selection screen and click “Join Game”. You can do this from the solo or duos queue, but you likely won’t have enough time to make your settings, so the practice mode is best. Once you have zoned in, you can access the options menu like you do in World of Warcraft or like you can from the Plunderstorm character selection screen. Press the ESC key and this will pop up the in-game menu.

Next click options. This will bring up a more robust menu with a variety of options to fully customize your settings. To access the keybindings, select the keybindings and edit to your heart’s content.
